Leading Vendors Launch Camera-Software Compatibility

Belfast, Northern Ireland, 10 March 2010 – Andor Technology plc (Andor), a world leader in scientific imaging, spectroscopy solutions and microscopy systems, today announced that they have joined the Image Acquisition Partner Program from MVTec, a Munich-based leading international manufacturer of standard software products for machine vision, after both companies successfully compiled an image acquisition interface between Andor’s highly sensitive, low-noise cameras and MVTec’s image processing library HALCON.
Andor Technology PLC (Andor) is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and operates at the high-value end of the global scientific digital camera market. It was setup in 1989 out of Queen's University in Belfast.
Andor now employs over 200 staff in 15 offices worldwide and distributes 70 products to 10,000 customers in 55 countries..

"What kind of threats are lurking in today’s Web?": Rootkits are by far and away the most dangerous threat on the internet presently. XP machines are extremely susceptible to such infections. Norton & McAfee and pretty well useless to block the threat. This includes ALL the FREE antivirus and antmalware software out there.
