John Girvin, a software engineer from Belfast, is taking part in long distance cycling events to raise money for RNIB NI.

John comments, "I've always enjoyed cycling, but in 2009 I've decided to challenge myself to take it one step further and enter some local, long distance cycling events to raise money for charity. I'm entering the 30 mile Craigavon Cycle Trail, the 60 mile Bangor Coastal Challenge on 21st June and finally, the big one, the 90 mile Lap The Lough event on 30th August. I've never cycled that far before!"

By sponsoring John you'll directly help the RNIB's Eye Care Liason Officer service, which supports those who have been recently diagnosed with serious sight loss through very difficult times.
